Summary:

Owari no Seraph returns for its second cour after a three-month break, continuing right where the story left off. The series follows Hyakuya Yuuichirou (Irino Miyu), a survivor of an unknown virus that ravaged Earth, killing everybody over the age of 13. Yuu, along with his fellow orphan, Hyakuya Mikaela (Ono Kensho) were captured by an army of vampires and taken underground for several years. However, Yuu managed to escape from the city, whilst Mika was left behind and turned into a vampire. Years later, Yuu ends up re-integrating into what remains of human civilisation, attaining his own cursed demon weapon and joining the Japanese Imperial Demon Army, seeking revenge against the vampires who took everyone he held dear. However, once on the battlefield, he encountered the now-vampirised Mika, who tried to stop him from being consumed by his quest for vengeance.

Own opinion:

To be honest I have a 50/50 feeling in this season. The first season was like neutral. It wasn't bad but it wasn't good too. Maybe because I read the manga so I was a little bit dissappointed with the adaptation. If you missed out on the first 12 episodes and are in the mood for a classic shonen battle anime with vampires, bishounens, and tsunderes, then now is your time to catch up before the second cour is under way.
