~Episode 1~




ANIME STUDIOS




1. Kyoani (Kyoto Animation)


You can easily describe a show that is made by Kyoani.  The art style is similar which sometimes is why people call it "repetitive" or "unoriginal." But this is also the studio that likes cliffhangers and the most thing I hate in KyoAni are the "ship tease" >_<


Their best works include Clannad After Story, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (Series) and Kanon. Other works include Air,  Nichijou, Hyouka, K-on, Lucky Star and Chuunibyou.


2. Sunrise


If you are fond of mechas like Gundam, Sunrise is the studio for you but they produce non-mecha series too. They are also one of the long running studios to date. Best works include Gintama (but now its BN pictures), Cowboy Bebop, Planetes and Outlaw Star. Other notable works include Code Geass, Love Live Idol School Project, City Hunter, Tiger and Bunny, and Accel World.


3. Bones


Bones was founded by former Sunrise staff and have made several notable series. Best works include Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, Eureka Seven, Sword of Stranger, and Wolfs Rain. Other notable shows include Hitsugi no Chaika, Ouran High School Host Club, Noragami, Gosick, and Soul Eater.


4. JC Staff


JC Staff  has created a fandom for tsunderes and are known for their cutesy atmosphere and also for their cliffhanger endings. In this studio I always wanted a season two in their works. Like Index/Railgun. *3* I want season two!


Best works include Toradora, Index/Railgun and Nodame Cantabile. Other notable shows include Azumanga Daioh, Selector Infected WIXOSS, Shakugan no Shana, Honey and Clover Zero no Tsukaima, Bakuman and Kaichou wa Maid-sama. And the latest, Shokugeki no Souma.


5. GAINAX


GAINAX has created some of the most epic and interesting series to date.  They're well known for their best shows such as Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, Neon Genesis Evangelion, and Panty and Stocking. They also rival Sunrise in terms of the best mecha shows around.


6. SHAFT


SHAFT is known for their peculiar style and head tilts thanks to director Shinbo. But I also hate this studio for ruining the great art of Mekakucity Actors >_<


Top shows include Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, the Monogatari franchise and Puella Magi Madoka. Other works include ef: A Tale of Memories, Hidamari Sketch, Dance in the Vampire Bund and Nisekoi.


7. Production IG


Production IG hit the mark when they made Ghost in the Shell and it continues to be the best work they have made alongside Usagi Drop and Seirei no Moribito. Other notable works include Ghost Hound, Attack on Titan (WIT Studio subsidiary of Production IG), Psycho Pass, Kuroko no Basket, Kimi ni Todoke and xxxHolic.


8. A-1 Pictures


A-1 Pictures is one of the most popular TV studios with several anime airing currently. Shinsekai Yori continues to be the cream of the crop for this studio and considered to be one of the best anime in recent years. Other notable shows include Shigatsu wa kimi no Uso, Nanatsu no Taizai, Aldnoah Zero, Working!, and the anime which has it's lovers and haters Sword Art Online.


9. Studio Pierrot


Studio Pierrot is known for adapting and milking popular series like Naruto, Bleach and Beelzebub.  Some of the best shows they have made include Great Teacher Onizuka, Area 88 and the Twelve Kingdoms. Other shows include Tokyo Ghoul, Yu Yu Hakusho, Tokyo Mew Mew, and Kingdom.


10. Brain's Base


Brains Base made more than 24 titles so far and is well known for its unique storytelling on Baccano! And Durarara!. Best shows include Mawaru Penguindrum, Baccano!, and Spice and Wolf. Other shows include Natsume Yuujinchou, D-frag!,  and Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Comedy wa Machigatteiru.


11. AIC (Anime International Company)


Another long running anime studio that started in 1982, it made at least 60 titles so far. Best shows include Blue Gender, Ima, Soko ni Iru Boku and Space Battleship Yamato 2199. Other shows include Amagami SS, Oreimo, Haganai, Date, A Live, Bubblegum Crisis, and Tenchi Muyou!


12. Toei Animation


Everyone knows Toei. Toei has created some of the most popular shows up to date. Best shows include Digimon Tamers, Slam Dunk, Fist of the North Star, and Mononoke. Other Notable shows include One Piece, Kyousogiga, Dragon Ball, Sailor Moon, Toriko, and Saint Seiya.


13. Manglobe


A lesser known studio, it was formed around 2002 and had made more than 10 titles so far. Best works include Ergo Proxy and Samurai Champloo. Other works include The World God Only Knows,  Deadman Wonderland, and Karneval.


14. White Fox


A relatively new studio founded in 2007. Best works include Steins Gate, Katanagatari, and Jormungand. Other shows include Hataraku Maou-sama!, Akame ga Kill!, Gochuumon wa Usagi Desu ka?, and Tears to Tiara.


15. Studio Ghibli


Studio Ghibli is considered to be one of the top studios in Japan. Almost all it's movies were directed by Hayao Miyazaki. All works are top notch but the most notable are Nausicaa Valley of the Wind, Grave of the Fireflies, Princess Mononoke, and Spirited Away. Seriously, you need to watch all there movies before you die.


16. Madhouse


A lot of people consider this to be the best anime studio as it has managed to produce a lot of well-known and highly rated anime of all time. And its one of my favorite studios.


Several shows they made are; Trigun, Kaiba, Tatami Galaxy, Hunter X Hunter 2011, Chobits, Vampire Hunter D, Monster, Dennou Coil, Parasyte, Kaiji, Paranoia Agent, Redline, Texhnolyze are all top-tier shows. Other great shows include Death Note, Hajime no Ippo, One Outs, Kemonozume, Claymore, CardCaptor Sakura, Paprika and many more!


17. Artland


Artland (Became Animation Studio Artland) is a lesser known anime studio but it has created award-winning shows like Mushishi as well as the epic Legend of the Galactic Heroes. Other notable shows include Katekyo Hitman Reborn! And Gunslinger Girl: Il Teatrino.


18. Gonzo


Probably the least known studio but it has made waves by creating highly rated shows including NHK ni Youkoso!, Gankutsuou, Kaleido Star and Bokurano. Other shows include Basilisk, Afro Samurai, Fullmetal Panic, Hellsing, and Samurai 7.


19. PA Works


Founded in 2000 and it's well known for the popular series Angel Beats. Other works include SHIROBAKO, Nagi no Asakura, Another, Hanasaku Iroha, Canaan and Glasslip. This one is truly a great studio with its beautiful and breath-taking art. Its also in my top 5 studios.


20. Ufotable


Ufotable is best known for its art and adapting Type Moon VN. Best Shows include Fate/Zero, Fate/Stay Night Unlimited Blade Works 2014, and Kara no Kyoukai. Ugh! This one is my top 2 in studios. Because of its art and animation its truly amazing!


21. Satelight


Best shows include Log Horizon, Noein, and Macross. Other shows include White Album 2, Genesis of Aquarion, Fairy Tail and Symphogear Franchise.


22. Kinema Citrus


Some works include Black Bullet, Code:Breaker and Barakamon.


23. MAPPA


Studio MAPPA was established by a former producer of Madhouse in 2011. A new studio but made its mark with high quality shows like Shingeki no Bahamut and Zankyou no Terror. Other shows include Garo and Teekyu. My number 3 in my top 5 studios. They made one of my most favorite anime and that's Zankyou no Terror.


24. Studio Trigger


Another new company founded in 2011. It made its mark by creating the highly rated show, Kill la Kill!. The movie Little Witch Academia was considered to be one of the best animated movies of 2013. 


25. Xebec


Xebec is usually involved with Production IG. Some shows they participated include Love Hina, Pandora Hearts and Shaman King. They have a roster of ecchi series such as To Love-Ru, Hen Zemi, Maken-Ki, Kanokon, Ladies versus Butlers, and Rio Rainbow Gate. 


26. TYO Animation


They are formerly known as Hal Film Maker. Best shows include Aria The Origination and Princess Tutu. Other known series include YuriYuri, Shinryaku! Ika Musume, and Ookami Shoujo to Kuro Ouji.
