Book 3: Prologue

"Be careful!"
Neteyam called out, smiling as his children ran around the shore. Some in the water, the others building castles in the sand.

He turned his head as Aonung wrapped an arm around his waist, laying his head against his shoulder.
"I almost forgot how much they've all grown."

Neteyam laughed, nodding in agreement. His eyes still observing their children.

Sixteen years ago, Aonung and Neteyam were lucky. They had their first children.
Zím'ia and Uh'trëdd Te Suli Tsyeyk'itan. The couples only set of twins. Heirs to the chief titles for their clans.

Then, a year after that, the next member was born.
Ni'muë Te Suli Tsyeyk'itan. Aonung and Neteyam's third child.

Three years after Ni'muë, another blessing was given to the still growing family.
Tsu'Tin Te Suli Tsyeyk'itan. The love-birds second youngest.

Two more years later, their youngest was born.
Rah'ina Te Suli Tsyeyk'itan. What the two Olo'eyktan's planned to be their last.

But oh, how fate works against them.
That leaves us here.

Five healthy children to run around the reef and forest, many cousins, happy aunt's and uncles, spoiled and wise grandparents.
And..an awaiting bundle of joy.

Neteyam and Aonung were expecting their sixth child. He was early enough only close family and friends knew.
Not the clans, not yet.

So, six children. Two happy parents. Five aunt's and uncles. Four wise grandparents. And a joyous great-grandparent.
Their life, turned out great. Both knew, they wouldn't change a thing.

Neteyam carefully weaved his fingers through his hair, letting the unbraided straights fall to his lower back.
"Daddy!"

Neteyam smiled at the familiar young voice, turning and letting his youngest daughter wrap around him.
Tsu'Tin soon following, immediately playing with Neteyam's hair. A habit he picked up from Aonung.
"Yes little ones?"

Rah'ina giggled, lifting her arms up, smiling as Neteyam placed her on his lap.
"Can we have Aunt Tuk and Uncle Lo'ak over for dinner?"

Neteyam smiled, beginning to rock her back and forth in a playful manner.
"Of course we can. Everyone is coming to dinner tonight."

Tsu'Tin gasped, turning so he stood Infront of Neteyam. His hands held together Infront of his chest.
"Nana too?!"

Neteyam sighed, ruffling his hair with his hand. The other still wrapped around his youngest.
"Not Nana, she is still in the forest. But, you will see her soon. I promise."

"Wow, was I forgotten already?"

The two kids laughed as they heard their fathers voice, running to him as he picked them both up.
Tsu'Tin climbing to sit on his shoulders, Rah'ina still sat against his chest.

Uh'trëdd walked up behind the three, smiling at his siblings before walking over to his father.
He sat beside Neteyam, carefully sitting his hand on his lap.
Neteyam smiled, running his hands through his hair.

Zím'ia was the next to walk in, Ni'muë behind her.
They both stopped at the sight, looking between the two parents.

Zím'ia shook her head, standing beside Aonung, sitting at his feet.
Ni'muë sat between them, laying on her stomach. Her legs in the air, kicking her feet.

Neteyam looked between them, smiling at his family. Something, he never thought he'd have.
"Now, come get ready, the others will be here soon."

Uh'trëdd sighed, walking over to Aonung. He took Rah'ina from his arms, walking her over to a corner. Helping her to get ready, then himself.

Zím'ia stood with Ni'muë, both whispering about what to wear and how their hair should be styled.

Tsu'Tin walked to the other corner, already having an outfit in mind by the way he grabbed it immediately.

Aonung walked to Neteyam, sitting in between his legs for the other two do his hair in a way he liked.
He looked up to Neteyam, carefully tilting his head and pressing his lips to the others thigh.
"Who would've though, six kids."

Neteyam laughed, pulling Aonung back against him with mocking force.
"And no more. I am telling you, this is our last."

Zím'ia laughed, shaking her head as she helped Ni'muë braid her hair.
"You have said that about every child."

Neteyam clicked his tongue as the others let out quiet laughs.
He turned to his oldest daughter, eyes narrowed.
"I will ground you until this child is your age."

Zím'ia pursed her lips into a thin line, humming a tune as she looked back to her task.

The family laughed, knowing everything was for jokes.
Neteyam looked down to Aonung, meeting his eyes.

The chapter for war and chaos was over. No Miles to start a fire, No demons to hunt and kill.
Now, a new chapter had began. One of  family, one of love, one of happiness. One of Peace.
