"You know, we could have come here separately..." Daniella mumbled, sounding a bit annoyed as she and Lewis walked inside the bowling alley together.

"We could have, but it was for the best that we didn't," Lewis pointed out. "You were sleeping, Dani...and I am pretty sure you wouldn't have shown up if I hadn't dragged you out of bed." The older driver was right. After the qualifying session and the debrief Daniella went straight to her hotel and after freshening up she thought taking a nap would be a good idea, completely forgetting about the plans made by her teammate.

"I was just taking a short nap," Daniella tried to defend herself.

"You forgot didn't you?"

"No..." she let out a laugh, trying to look offended. "You just never..." before she could finish her sentence all the words stuck in her throat and she was taken aback by the presence of George Russell. He was already with the team and laughing about something.

"What is he doing here?" Daniella looked at Lewis for an explanation.

Lewis immediately realized his mistake but it was too late now.

"Okay..don't get angry but I invited him," Lewis replied. "George is part of our team as well..."

"Yeah. Part of the team," Daniella scoffed. "He is the reason why I am out of the championship."

"And he feels bad about it."

"Aww how sweet," Daniella faked a smile. "Have you forgiven Nico yet?"

Lewis bit his tongue, not wanting to argue and most importantly he doesn't want to talk or hear about his former best friend and teammate.

"Finally you two showed up," Angela approached the two drivers as their team also spotted them. "For a second there I thought both of you bailed."

'I tried to but he didn't let me," Daniella smiled, trying her best not to continue the argument with Lewis.

"Of course he didn't," Angela gave the young driver a quick hug.

Daniella her way toward Myra and Nate who were enjoying some snacks and drinks with the other team members.

"Hi, Dani.." George gave her a polite smile.

"Hi," Daniella greeted back but sounded emotionless, not even sparing him a look.

George knows very well she is not going to forgive him anytime soon, and part of him cares about it while the other part thinks what he did in Singapore is well deserved and balances out Daniella stealing the Mercedes seat from him.

"Be nice," Myra warned the driver. "Everyone is here so don't fight or make a scene."

"Don't listen to her," Nate interrupted his girlfriend. "I haven't seen a good fight in a long time so you have my permission to go and fight George."

Daniella couldn't help but chuckle as she stole some French fries from her race engineer.

"No fighting please," Lewis joined the three. "and Dani, please try to control your anger till you and George are alone."

"Wow! They are really competitive, huh?" Nyck de Vries commented as he along with the others watch Daniella and George fiercely compete with each other.

"How much do you want to bet that Dani is imagining that she is hitting George with the ball?" Nate chipped in as he filmed the scene.

"How much do you want to bet that George is imagining the same with Dani?" Myra added.

Everyone cheered as Daniella once again got all the pins down in one strike. She gave a challenging look to George before walking back to her team and high-fiving a few people.

"You are really good at it," Lewis commented.

"That's because she had a good teacher," George smugly replied before Daniella could get the chance.

"Get over yourself, George," Daniella countered. "I am a natural and you only taught me the basics."

"I spent five hours teaching you," George argued. "And you are a terrible student just like you are a terrible friend."

"And you are just as terrible as a teacher as you are a driver," Daniella snapped.

A few gasps were heard from the team members. Lewis who was currently on a video call with Toto froze as he heard the argument.

Before Toto could say anything Lewis ended the call and ran to the scene.

"Okay..." he let out a nervous laugh. "It's a friendly event so let's keep it like that. No fighting you two."

"Whatever.." Daniella mumbled as she let out a deep breath. "You guys continue..I need some air."

Lewis didn't argue and just nodded, he knows she will come back inside once she feels better.

"I thought you were going to apologize to her," Lewis asked George in a low voice as Daniella went outside and the others started playing as the competition between the former friends ended.

"I tried but she is so difficult," George replied, sounding frustrated. "She won't even look at me. She is the one who ruined everything and now I am the one left feeling guilty."

"She didn't have a choice.."

"You and Toto keep saying that but never explain any further," George was starting to get angry. "I would have never done what she did to me..."

It has started to drizzle a bit but Daniella didn't mind getting a little wet, in fact, it made her feel a little better. She thought about calling Max but decided against it as he is currently at an event hosted by Honda.

After talking to Lewis George sneaked away from the team to come and find Daniella. He was not sure why exactly as their last encounter ended up with him fuming in anger.

"You will get sick," George said as he approached his former friend as the rain fell on him as well.

"So will you, so get back inside," Daniella rudely replied. "Or else you won't be able to drive in my place when I get sick."

George rolled his eyes as he stood in front of Daniella.

"I am tired of hating you Dani," he looked at her. "I need to know why you..."

"I can't tell you," Daniella didn't let him finish, she already knew what he was going to ask. "I don't want to tell you," she lied. "And I don't have a problem with you hating me for the rest of your life. I know what I did was wrong and I would have acted much worse if I was in your place. But this is the reality now, George. We are not friends anymore. I stole your seat and you crashed into me and ruined my chance at the championship. There is no going back from there."

The conversation didn't go as George had hoped when he came to find her. Daniella can tell he was having mixed thoughts and emotions just by the look on his face and his eyes.

She gave him a small smile before turning around, deciding to head back inside.

She gasped as George held her wrist and turned her around, pulled her back.

"George..." Daniella was shocked by his action.

"Tell me the truth Dani or I will do much worse than just crash into you," he threatened.

"I can't," she gave him a sad smile. She wanted to tell him and everyone but the NDA she signed is stopping her from uttering even a single word.

"You don't..."

"Hate me. Ruin my races. I deserve it, I know that, but I am not going to tell you anything," she released her wrist from his grasp and took a step back.

"I deserve to know," George argued. "I can't keep hating you."

"You do, just like you deserved the Merc seat. But we don't always get what we want, do we?" Daniella asked. "You should know that better than anyone."

The rain started to get heavy but neither of them cared, especially George.

"You are unbelievable, Dani," George was disappointed and angry. "You are selfish and arrogant, and..."

"And I don't care who I hurt as long as I get what I want," Daniella cut in, the words hurting her. She was trying to hide her emotions and hold back her tears, thinking she should have never left Red Bull, go through with the publicity stunts her boss planned so that George was still her friend and driving for Mercedes. "I don't care about you or..."

"Lies," George snapped. "Just tell me the truth and we can go back to being friends."

"I can't," Daniella yelled in frustration, a single tear rolling down her cheek which almost got unnoticed by George because of the rain but her red puffy eyes gave it away. "No matter how much I want, I can't. I have accepted things between us can't be repaired and you should too.."

"I am not ready to accept that," George snapped back as he stepped closer. "The Dani I know and grew up with wouldn't have hurt me like that."

"You were wrong to believe that," Daniella argued, thinking she got the last word.

She was about to leave but George stepped even closer and took her face in his hands before Daniella can realize what was happening he pressed his lips on her, kissing her in anger and frustration.

Daniella froze as the weather got even worse.

After a couple of seconds, George realized what he did and stopped kissing.

Daniella pushed him away, once again looking shocked. Both her mind and heart were not able to believe what just happened.

"What the hell, George?" Daniella took a few steps back.

"Dani I..." George took a step forward.

"No, stay where you are," she shook her head.

"Listen to me..."

"No..." she again shook her head. The look on her face caused George to feel a sting in his heart. "I am leaving."

"Dani wait.." George tried to follow her but she ran away.

He stood there in the rain, cursing at himself.

A/N: So...Dani didn't hit George with a bowling ball as some of you wanted but....nothing major happened.

Thoughts on the argument between George and Dani?

TBH I don't like how Dani didn't give a thought about George before signing with Mercedes but it has caused her to suffer a bit and I think she deserves it.

Thought on George kissing Dani????

What do you think will happen next?

I have completely lost interest in this story and had to force myself to write this chapter. I am just hoping I will be able to finish this book.

I have also started working on a House of the Dragon fanfic, only wrote a couple of paragraphs but I don't know if I will publish it. I think the ideas in my head for the story is good enough but I just don't know how to put them into words which is really frustrating
