I hear the front door open and I look at the door.

"I'll be back." Allison says walking down the hall.

"How was your trip?" I ask standing at the counter.

"Can you please mow my yard? The yard man is in the hospital." Allison says.

1 hour later...

"I'm all done." I say going inside.

I turn around and see Alexa standing in a towel.

"It's fine. You know used to change your diapers." Alexa says.

We stare at each other and I break eye contact.

I could tell she liked me from the way she stared (Way she stared)

"Where?" I ask turning around.

"Where the garbage can usually is." She says.

"Oh, yeah. I'll go get that." I say.

"Don't worry about it." I say.

"Fine then." Allison says.

She kisses me and reaches for my belt buckle. I grab her hand and she stares at me.

"I can't do this. I don't want you, I want your mom." I say.

Allison laughs and I sigh.

"You were serious?!" Allison asks.

"It's not like I'm a minor. It's not like your dad is around anymore." I say.

But since your dad walked out, your mom could use a guy like me

"My mom? My mom out of 7 billion people?" Allison asks.

I get up and go downstairs.

"Why are you leaving?" Alexa asks.

I stare at Alexa and she raises an eyebrow.

"Oh, OH. I didn't know you — uh — I'll text you." Alexa says.

I leave and sigh.

3 hours later...

I knock on the room door and it opens.

"Come in." Alexa says.

I walk in and Alexa shuts the door.

"Why'd you want me to meet you here?" I ask.

"Because Allison is throwing a tantrum about her girlfriend being in love with her MOM!"

"I don't care about the age gap or how wrong it is. I can't hide it anymore." I say.

"How the fuck did this shit even happen?" Alexa asks.

"I'll go get another chair." Ethan says.
