Chapter 40

I can't believe it's almost here! The day me and about three thousand and ninety-nine other students have waited for. Graduation day. It's so relieving (and nerve racking) to know in just two weeks I will be a graduate and done with high school and moving onto another chapter in my life: big kid life.

I am a bit nervous when it comes to going to college but I know I will do great especially since it's on our pace so I won't have to worry about feeling too overwhelmed, I do have to admit the great things to look forward to is that I, firstly, got accepted into my top school; Fresno State, secondly, It's not too far and not to close to home which is just the way I want it and third, I get to experience a new sense of independence since I will be dorming there my first year. I found out I got accepted last week when I got an email from them saying they changed my major to CRIM: Law enforcement and when I logged in their portal it's when I discovered I got in, it was amazing!

It was just a regular Saturday watching movies with Chris in the living room when I received the email, I shot up from my seat and started dancing around like a maniac until he got my attention and was able to calm me down and ask what happened, after explaining to him the news he that cliché moment of picking me up and spinning me around but it was cute nonetheless. It was a nice evening after that, sharing the news with my family and going out to celebrate the small achievement.

Anyways, everything feels like it's finally falling into place. I have a great and supportive family, a supporting and loving boyfriend (who by the way is coming to the graduation) and got accepted into my top college and graduating high school.

I mean what could go wrong?

"I can't believe we are finally getting our cap and gowns!" Karelyn squeals, besides me as I stand with her, Hannah and Jineni.

"Oh let's not forget the tickets too." Hazza speaks up with a smile looking over at us behind her black rim glasses.

I nod my head along with Jineni as we listen to their conversation, adding in our own comments here and there. I think I'm more excited to get the cap and gown to take my picture with them, it still felt surreal that we were actually graduating and I'm sure the girls feel the same way as well.

We continue to chit chat here and there as we get closer to the front of the line where we pick up the tickets and cap and gown, thankfully I didn't have to deal with they-that-shall-not-be-named and it made me feel more at ease today with being at school for a couple hours as we started our minimum day schedule for the next two and a half weeks -which is great by the way- especially since us seniors don't really have to be he here all day we can just pick up our stuff and leave if we choose to which I'm sure everyone will cause who wouldn't want that.

It's like heaven, getting to leave early and doing whatever we wanted to do (that is legal) until we wait for the final day that sets us free from this school.

"Alright, see you guys later!!" I wave to my three friends as I walk over to my car.

"See yuh girly!"

"Byeee Andi!"

"Make good choicessss!!!"

I just laugh as they started shouting out random things as I drove out the parking lot, heading to the first destination in mind, Starbucks, ordering a venti Mango dragon-fruit Lemonade, a venti Caramel Frappuccino and a couple more drinks that Chris sent me a list of to buy before I head over to his house.

I wasn't sure exactly who was visiting but I knew it was friends from what I recall him telling me that decided to visit for an annual get together that they normally have once a month and well since this is my first time going, I am a tad bit nervous to meet them.

I mean I already met the Evans clan and they were so amazingly sweet and welcoming but these are also people he loves and cares about so they are just as important to impress and to get their blessings as it is for the actual family.

What I am glad is that there isn't much traffic as there usually is in the city of Los Angeles, I was afraid that I would get to the get together late since I had to stop by a local Starbucks before I can head to Chris' house and thankfully I wasn't as I actually had an hour to spare. Parking the car I gathered my two bags and the two cup holders full of drinks, which now that I look at them there was quite a lot, heck there were even one in the middle of each holder as there wasnt enough space left.

I knock on the door with my foot trying to keep the drinks and bags from spilling over, thankfully I didn't have to wait long as the handsome dorito himself opened the door and started taking things out of my hands and walking back inside before I can even start protesting.

"Chrissy, you got to stop doing thattt, you know I can handle myself. In fact I was doing just fine when I got here-" I start. "Yeah well to be fair it looked like the drinks were about to tip over and I don't think the guys in there would appreciate not having their drinks sweetheart... plus you know I love helping you anyway I can-" he turns to me after placing the drinks on the island, bringing his hands up to hold my face in between them "-and what kind of gentleman would I be if I just let my gal do everything herself, hmm?" He speaks softly, his thumb rubbing my cheek softly.

I was so caught up with his action that I didn't notice the other people in the room across from us who saw and heard everything until I heard someone clear their throat.

"As grossly adorable this moment is, I would like to know who this beautiful little lady is that captured this giant meat ball's heart," I heard next to us, I looked over to the right and nearly had a heart attack as I realized the person who spoke was the one and only Robert Downey Jr. and the rest of the guests in the livingroom watching us from the opening of the island were other cast members of Marvel.

And you know what I did. I ran...
