Chapter 4

I froze... well more like starting to panic.

Which is something I seem to have been doing a lot today for some unknown reason? I just didn't know what to say. What can I say? It's not every day one of your favorite celebrities, one of your idols, runs into you and asks you to go to lunch with them

"Hey... Are you alright?" Chris questions as he gives me a soft smile.

"Huh? Oh, ya...ya I'm good. Sorry, I just zoned out, which I seem to be doing a lot today..."

"Hey it's alright, it happens to all of us, that is normally the response I get when people figure out who I am...or they end up screaming," he replies with a soft smile.

"Ya sorry about that, you probably get that a lot."

"It's no problem I'm kind of used to it by now. So um about that lunch...?"

"Oh! right, umm ya I would love to go to lunch with you." I reply back to him with a small smile as I walk off towards the next shelf to work on.

"Great, do you get off work soon or on a lunch break?" He asks, trailing behind me.

"Yeah, I'm actually off in about 10 minutes, if you want you can just wait here with me till I'm off," I reply back to him, as I look up at him from my spot on the floor going organizing the comic books on the lowest level, to see he is leaning on the shelf, arms crossed smiling down at me.

I didn't realize I was staring too long, admiring his beauty with his stunning baby blue eyes, his dazzling figure, or his bright beautiful smile.

I just couldn't help it, he's just so breathtakingly beautiful...

Is what I thought I said in my head, but guessing from his face accumulating a blush red and a small grin starting to form, that I didn't actually say that in my head.

" I think you have it mixed the other way around there sweetheart, " he responded with a wink.

Oh my Mjolnir, may the Allfather help me today...

*****

"Hey, Rossi I'm done for the day. Unless you need me to do anything else?-" I ask my boss as I stick my head into the mini storage room with all the new shipments or extra comics are being held. "-Hopefully, you don't." I kept the last part to myself.

"Oh hey, you know what I think I got everything covered here. You can go ahead and take off. Thank you for coming in today!" He replies back to me as he turns around with a warm smile.

"Alright, well I'm off then and of course. Happy to work here." I tell him while turning around to walk back to the lockers to get my bag.

"Oh! Rossi do you think it's alright if I leave my car here? I will come back later to pick him up, I'm just carpooling with a friend to go get something to eat." I ask him for the last minute.

"Yeah, of course, go ahead. I will let the guys know so someone can stay and watch it for a bit."

"Great, thank you so much. Byee Rossi!"

"Of course any time. Goodbye Andrea, thanks again!" He says waving to me from the door.

When I step outside, I am greeted with Chris leaning on the side of his car with his shades on but his hoodie gone, replaced with a fitted black shirt.

"Hey sweetheart, ready to go?" He asks with that big beautiful smile.

"Yepp, ready to go..." I reply quietly with a blush forming on my cheeks.

This man will be the death of me.

"Alright, great! Well, we can decide what we want to get while getting into the car?" He offers while going to the other side and opens the passenger door for me to get in.

"Yeah, that sounds good to me."

"Great, if you throw any suggestions, I'm all for it since you know the place more than I do," he replies while getting into his side of the car.

"Well... um, have you ever tried Tommy's before?" I ask as he sets the car into reverse and starts to head out of the little shopping center.

"Hmm, I don't believe I have actually. Do you want to go there?" He asks while stopping the car for a moment to let a few passengers walk by.

"We can if you want to try it? I don't want to force anything on you if you don't feel up to it." I respond back, to let him know he has other options.

"No, if it's what you want, I mean I did ask you to go out to lunch with me...plus it does sound interesting." He says as he gives me a smile when he turned his head to look at me.

"Well, I guess we can go. But only because you haven't tried it yet." I respond, back with a smile and a slight blush hitting my face.

Man, he really is gonna be the death of me...

We pull into the parking lot at Tommy's, Chris unbuckles his seatbelt and strides across the other side to open the door for me, before my hand even reaches the handle.

"Thank you, " I tell him as he sticks his hand out to help me.

"Of course, " he replies with a smile.

When we step inside, I walk over to a small booth in the corner that's in the back where the light from the sun is shining in from the large windows.

"I hope this is alright, I figured you wouldn't want to be sitting in the open where someone might recognize you, " I tell him while sliding into the opposite side of him.

"No this is good and that's true, it's better to be safe than sorry. Thank you." He response while sliding into the seat across from me.

**time skip brought to you by me not knowing what else to put**

As we are trying to be discreet as possible to not cause attention to ourselves, well, I'm surprised we didn't fail. We talked non-stop about anything and everything we could think of, even which Disney song/movie is our favorite.

"Ok...ok but what about Frozen? What would you rank that movie from the top eleven princess films," Chris questions while taking a few fries from my plate.

"First off, eat your own fries, Robert-" I tell him while slapping his hand away when he tries to get more "-And to answer your question, I would maybe rank it a five. What about you?"
I question, stealing some of his fries as payback.

"Heyy, I told you I don't like being called that, fry stealer! And in my opinion, we'll I would say maybe a six."

"...."

The quiet was soon filled with laughter as we both couldn't help but crack up over his response. I swear he really is a child at heart, but yet again so am I.

When we were able to control ourselves again, we decided it was a good idea to clean up and leave since it seemed like more people were arriving at the restaurant and he couldn't really risk getting recognized by someone right now, as he's probably still a bit overwhelmed with everything.

"I had a great time today, who knew I would get lucky enough to meet such a great person, especially as I got myself lost," Chris leans on the side of his car, hand in his front pockets and showing me his award-winning smile.

"I'm not all that great, but thank you," looking down at my shoes as if they were the most interesting things in the world.

"Hey.. you are really great, heck you're an amazing person. Not everyone would take their time to help a lost stranger or better yet, hang around cause I'm just like every other person in this world and not THE Chris Evans... So you are pretty amazing to me." He speaks softly, pushing my chin up gently to meet his gaze.

It felt like we could stare at each other forever...

If only moments like these could last forever.
