Chapter 29

I'm sitting with Chris and Dodger in the living room where we decided to watch the movie Mean Girls, we were about half way through the movie when I was startled by the sound of someone snoring come from the foot of the couch.

I looked over to see the most adorable sight and couldn't help but let out an 'awee' as I pulled out my phone to take some pictures of the two boys who had fallen asleep snuggled up together. I didn't blame them though for being tired though.

We spent the whole morning and a little bit of afternoon walking around the other cities in Massachusetts but this time we decided to take Dodger with us, who had such a blast getting to walk around with us and even got to eat a bit of food, as we quickly stopped by a food truck before continued on walking and driving around till we ended at Worcester.

After sight seeing in Worcester, we had drove back to the house, we obviously couldn't visit every city so we went to the main tourist ones and a few that he knew personally, but in all we had a blast and were exhausted after having lunch, and decided to have watch a movie and relax for a while before we had to leave to the airport.

It felt like this week went by so fast compared to the first, the weekend was filled with spending time with the Evans' clan and the rest week up till today, Friday, was spent with just us two (and Dodger) spending time together either playing at the park, movie marathons (Disney obviously), and Chris and I going out for a dinner date last night that ended greatly with us snuggling in his bed watching Forensic Files till we fell asleep.

Which I totally recommend the show by the way.

I decided to turn off the movie and t.v. all together. I move over the couch to Chris' other side and snuggled gently up to him, wrapping my arms around him and laid my head on his shoulder, closing my eyes deciding it would be best to take a nap as well to pass the time and be more awake during the trip to the airport and the flight.

I had started to wake a bit when I felt slight movement underneath me, at first I was confused but remember that I fell asleep on Chris. I squinted my eyes open as I lifted my head up a bit to see what the commotion was,

"Chris?" I mumble groggily.

"Shhh, it's alright beautiful, go back to sleep," he responds back as he finally stops moving but this time I feel myself laying fully on him, as he gently pushes my head down against his chest.

Of course being half asleep, I decided to just listen and go back to sleep as I felt fingers run through my hair which helped me fall back to sleep faster.

*****

It felt like only a short amount of time has passed when I was awaken again by shuffling but this time, it was Chris carrying me outside to the car where it was already on and ready to go,

"Morning sleepin beauty," I feel Chris chuckle as I open my eyes to see us outside with me in his arms.

I didn't even realize we were at the car till I heard the door open and he placed me inside the passenger seat. He shut the door before I was able to say anything, walked to the other side, got in and started the car.

"Wait... the luggage?" I questioned, pointing back to the house.

"Don't worry about it, got it all taken care of sweetheart," he responded with a smile and shot me a wink as he drove out the drive way.

As soon as the car stopped, I step out the car and head to trunk to start getting the luggage out, making sure my mini backpack, that will be with me, on the flight was secure on back then pulled the four other luggage aside.

"Heyy," I turn to see Scott walking towards us with a sad smile.

"Hey Scotty," I embrace him in a hug.

"Yuh need help with anythin'?"

"You know what I think I'm good actually, thank youu," I smile up at him.

Chris walks back over to us after getting the car secure, helps gather the bags and we start heading inside the airport where everyone else is waiting for us.

We were all sitting in the airport; the kids were sitting down watching videos on their tablet with little Nick on my lap, Stella sitting on the seat next to us with Milo next to her, leaving everyone else sitting around us.

We were a pretty big group, we thankfully were able to find empty rows of seats across each other near the designated gate to take us back to Los Angeles. We were all talking, sipping on our drinks from the Starbucks that sat between a Jamba juice and Waba Grill that sat in the entrance of the big waiting rooms of flight's B and C, our flight was B15 we were closer to the end of the room.

Soon enough, our flight was sadly called as it was already two thirty p.m. and our flight leaves at three o'clock p.m. We stood up, gathering our luggage and started saying bye to everyone. I got lots of bear hugs and even some tears from the kids (mostly from Nick) and promised to come back soon, after saying bye Chris grabbed my hand and started walking off towards the gate.

I leaned against him with my head on his shoulder as I look up at him with a sad smile and in return he smiled back and leaned down to kiss the top of my head, well the top of my hat that I was wearing, as he wrapped his arm around my shoulders pulling me closer to him.

What we didn't realize was that we made a mistake on letting our guard down too soon... as we didn't realize that someone from a group we passed on our way to the gate recognized Chris and took a picture of us...
