Chapter 1

High school. The most dreadful place known to any teenager on the planet.

You're still going to despise it (and everyone there) no matter how much fun they try to make it, especially when they make you wake up early in the morning to get your head crammed with knowledge you won't even remember by the afternoon. Sadly, life just doesn't work the way you want it to so we have to suffer by attending an overly crowded school with a bunch of weirdly, enthusiastic people in the morning.

I stir around in bed for a moment, half-awake, listening to my alarm going off just a few feet away from my bed. Hoping it would magically just turn itself off so I can get back to my sleep, but sadly I know it won't.

I jump back into bed after turning it off, hoping I can drift off to sleep again. I hear my bedroom door open, with my mom on the other side asking if I'm awake and then going on about how she can't be late to work like she does every morning. Welp, that lasted at least, two minutes.

I think that might be a new record.

Yeah, I'm not much of a morning person so if you can get at least a few (pleasant) words out of me, you have to be the most special human beings in the world.

When I get to the kitchen, I'm greeted by my brother already sitting at the kitchen table eating breakfast as he plays on his phone, while the other is sitting at the island blabbing on about some football game that he downloaded on the mini tablet to my mom who is preparing her own breakfast and her coffee for the day.

It makes me wonder how they can be fully functioning human beings this early in the morning. I'm over here still struggling with keeping my eyes open and not falling asleep while I eat my toast with avocado.

Especially with being on the phones or watching t.v, I mean just glancing at the screen on my brother's phone makes my eyes hurt from how bright he has the damn screen.

After finishing my breakfast, I head outside to get my car going while I rest my bag on the floor of the passenger seat. It's a classic 1965 silver-blue Mustang that I got for my 17th birthday from my uncle and dad, and it was also my dream car that I have always wanted since, well as long as I could remember. What makes it even more better is that I also got my license the day of my birthday so I am legally able to drive it without any worries, well besides having to drive Thing one and Thing two to school and sometimes to their practices, but other than that it's great to finally be able to drive myself and jam out to my music without anyone complaining about it.

After dropping off the boys, I finally head to my own imprisonment for the next six hours. I normally wait for one of my best friends Hannah by one of the student bulletin boards which is filled to the brim with lots of "Welcome back to school!" posters and signs, which I'm kind of suprised they're still up as it is our second week back to school. We like to meet there since it's the least crowded spot in the school, surprisingly, and it's also a short distance from our first period, AP Literature- a.k.a the D building- that is located at the front of the school, cornered between the C building and the auditorium.

It's also apparently called the "Senior" building. Which I'm pretty sure is not really true, as I'm certain I have seen a few Sophomores and Juniors enter a couple of classrooms on the first floor.

As I wait for Hannah to arrive I feel my phone goes off in my pocket letting me know that I got a notification. I notice the notification is from Twitter, recognizing the photo of the account I know immediately it's Chris Evans that has just tweeted something. I'm not on social media as much but I have to say that his tweets are one of my favorites, I find them hilarious and immediately brings a smile to my lips as I read his tweets- which would either be about how hypocritical and ignorant society can be towards each other or how much he loves his fur baby, Dodger. His tweets are probably the only relevant thing on twitter that I stan.

And I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who thinks so too, I mean have you seen his fandom.
