The week in the hospital was uneventful for Arlo, it mainly consisted of her checking her phone and feeling miserable. She tried to call nick (from big mouth) multiple times but he never picked up. She attempted to feel better for herself on her last day, she changed into non-hospital clothes and tried to neaten her ratty and scratched looking hair. At 3pm sharp she was given prescription medication and lead out of the hospital to a jet black limo with bat wings on the front. She cautiously stepped into the limo, unsure what to expect. "HI BIG SIS :DDDDD" oh. "IM RICHARD BUT MY FRIENDS CALL ME DICK!!!" Robin excitedly bounced up and down on his sheet which shouldn't be possible since literally everything is made out of plastic bricks. Arlo sat down and buckled her seatbelt "um that's cool but I'm not gonna call you that" "AND THAT OLD GUY IS CALLED ALFRED" Robin pointed to the man in the drivers seat, he was the same man who was with Batman in the hospital. "I'm going to pretend that I didn't hear you call me old" Alfred said. "I've always wanted an older sister!! Before dad took me in I was always alone" he looked out of the window solemnly (where was that piano music coming from?) . "Well I don't know if it will be permanent" Arlo scratched her head, this was all going too fast. Alfred interrupted Robins insistent chattering "Batman will be meeting you in his Batcave™️, and we'll get there soon" as soon as he finished that sentence, wings formed out of the limo and they started to take off. "This part never gets old :D"  Robin never seemed to run out of energy throughout the whole flight which was partially annoying and partially endearing. Arlo smiled as she rested her head against the window.

The Batcave was bigger than what Arlo ever could've imagined. She just walked from room to room eyes and mouth wide open, not making a sound. Robin continued talking about events/injuries that occurred in each room with a smug look on his face. Finally they went down a fireman pole to enter the Batcave™️. And there he was, sitting down, eating a series of chip packets. "Really, sir, with the chips again?" Alfred questioned "hey I just beat the crap out of bane, I deserve this,, now Arlo come here I need to talk to you, Robin, please wait by the explosive sharks" "You got it dad!" Robin left. It was just me, Batman and Alfred lurking in the corners.  Arlo wasn't prepared for most of the things that were thrown at her during the past week but she was prepared for this. "Alright so I need to talk to you about-" "you're Bruce Wayne right" she retaliated almost immediately "I mean, you and Bruce Wayne are the same person-" "WOAH WOAHWOAHWOAHWOAHWOAHWOAH" "THATS THE FIRST TIME ANYONE ACCUSED ME OF THAT,, I DIDNT EVEN TELL ROBIN UNTIL AFTER A WHOLE REDEMPTION ARC FOR ME" somehow Arlo still wasn't prepared for his response, she was right. "How did you knowww?? Oh shoot I'm supposed to deny this aren't I" "well my dad was a bit of a conspiracy theorist and his favourite thing to talk to me about was that you and Bruce had the same voice and lived in the same house and had the same type of personality-"  Arlo looked sheepishly to her little block feet. "Wow I'm impressed, serious props to your dad". "Your dad was a CONSPIRACY THEORIST YOU SAYY" a voice came from Batman's phone, "oh yeah I forgot that I put Barbara on call" this time it was Batman's turn to look sheepish. Before Arlo had time to react batman continued talking "anyways that wasn't what I was going to talk to you about AT ALL, I wanted to talk to you about being a hero" "oh what? I don't want to be a hero,,, please don't make me one I'm a huge pussy that fears death" Arlo got all shuffly and even tried to moonwalk away from Batman, but he just look relieved "oh thank god I'm so glad you didn't get your hopes up, I love having a fam (#famsquad) to help me in defeating villains but I don't really know how long you'll be staying here and I don't have time to do super necessary training with you". Alfred stepped forward from the shadows and spoke "we just think that it will be safer if you stayed here under my supervision with the explosive sharks, we'll get you your own room next to robins" Arlo smiled for the first time in a while "ok". She was excited for what this temporary life would hold.
