Harry styles enters the kitchen with tears strewn around his shiny Lego face "I'VE BEEN ROBBED" he cries. "What?" Barbara stands up, "did you go to the police station, inform them on this??" "I did" Harry sobbed "But they just told me to come here". "Those idiots" Barbara muttered "I have to make a call" she left the room. Harry sat down next to Arlo, she handed him some tissues, "uhm,, how did you find out?" She asked tentatively "The big guy, Hagrid, he guards all of my money in a vault ,, I guess he didn't do good enough of a job" Harry continued sobbing "I HAVE TO FIRE HIM NOW WAAAAA, HE WAS SO N I C E". "I heard robbery" Batman entered the room, fully suited "I'm handling it batman" Barbara entered the room from the opposite side, "my guys are already on the case" Batman sulked out of the room. "BATMAN, TELL BRUCEY IM HERE" Harry cried after him. Soon enough Bruce entered the room, "hey buddy, Batman told me what just happened, feel free to stay as long as you like" "Fank yew Brucey" Harry sniffed and dried his eyes "Arlo could yew make me some tea?".

Two days passed until they heard from Barbara again. The phone rang and Bruce picked it up  "hello-" "I need to talk to Harry and Arlo immediately" she spoke quickly "wow, what happened to small talk huh? You never come over or call me anymore" Bruce sounded offended "oh just give me the phone love" Harry made grabbing motions until batman handed over the phone begrudgingly. "'Ello Barbara dear have you found the people who robbed me yet?" "Yes, I need you to come to the Police station immediately and bring Arlo. Bye." She hung up. "Alright come along Arlo, we are heading to the police station".

It's safe to say that Arlo never wanted to drive with Harry again after that trip to the police station, no wonder he was getting lessons from Batman. "Oh thank God you two are here" Barbara was waiting at the entrance, "come this way". They were lead through the desks of several officers causing quite a commotion since it was,, y'know,,Harry Styles. Finally they stopped at a jail cell, funnily enough that is also when Arlo's heart stopped, she recognised someone, or rather two people. "Today at 6:30pm Carrie and Robert Quartz were arrested for the alleged robbery of Harry Styles and also three other people" Barbara stated "they also happen to be Arlos-" "MY PARENTS!!" Arlo shouted in shock.

Arlo's mother, Carrie was the first to speak "Arlo dear, we are so sorry" "WHY DID YOU DO THIS,, YOU JUST LEFT ME ALONE" "and they also stole a considerable amount of money from me! I would like it back!" Harry exclaimed. "alright, Arlo you can stay and talk to your parents as long as you like, we've already questioned them, their trial will be next week. Harry, please come with me so that you can get your money back" Barbara said "Jolly good" Harry grinned. Once they left Carrie spoke again "We didn't mean to steal from so many people, we just needed a little bit of money to keep our store running, to look after you,, and then we got carried away and the police started coming after us..." "what you did was awful" tears came to Arlo's eyes as she looked down at the people she loved most. Utter failures is what they were. "Dad don't you have anything to say to me??" Robert shifted his head, he couldn't dare to look his daughter in the eyes. "We are so so sorry Arlo" Carrie started to cry "we are so so so so sorry, and we will always love you". Arlo turned away from them, she had enough "bye" she croaked to her parents as she and Harry left the building. "Hey, are you okay" he asked as they stepped into the car, "no" she sniffed. "Losing someone who was important in your life is always hard, you don't have to forget them, they are still your parents, but it's best to move on from them with grace, I'm sure that's what they would have wanted, think of it like they are taking a very long trip away from you" Harry said advice, but Arlo wasn't sure if it was good advice or not "Yeah, they are taking a trip, to jail" Arlo pointed out. Harry sighed and started the car "I'll drive the best that I can, just for you okay?".

It took a while, but eventually Arlo did move on, her parents both got sentenced 50 years in prison, and she could visit them twice a month. Batman and Bruce Wayne have signed Arlo's official adoption papers as 'co-parents' although Bruce was the primary parent since batman is often off battling bad guys *wink*. Barbara could celebrate closing two cases in one day and she really did celebrate it, mainly to piss off Batman. Robin taught Arlo how to play Mario kart and then proceeded to beat Arlo in it 10 times in a row as payback for the uno games. It was back to school for Arlo but it didn't bring her down, she could now boast that she's friends with Harry Styles after all. He picked her up after school every day and his driving had significantly improved. On the way home she sometimes sees Nick (from big mouth) walking home, alone. Seeing how sad looking he was drove Arlo to never be as miserable as him,, or as short as him. Alfred started allowing Arlo access to the robot lady as well as gifting her with several piano books, giving her plenty of entertainment for when she was home alone. All in all, it was a bittersweet ending for Arlo and a happy ending for the Batman fam, they have a new member after all.

Authors note: wow wasn't that swag, I might write another chapter depending on my motivation to do so, also sorry for the constant tense switching and the lack of editing that I did on this, I wrote it all within a week. I have to stop committing to jokes for the validation of others, it always leaves me burnt out at the end. Anyways see yah. And just like Batman said "boogie, woogie".
