~Chapter Eleven.~

"I always heard, that you should never say never."

I slam my locker door shut and look at him. "Please don't tell me you're going to start singing, Justin Bieber songs now."

He puts a hand over his heart and looks offended. "You don't like Justin Bieber?"

I give him a droll look. "How long have you known me, Gabe?"

"For ten years"

"And what did I say the first time I heard Justin Bieber sing?" I ask him.

He rolls his eyes. "That you would rather live with skunks, then listen to him sing"

I smile and holds my books to my chest "Yes, and I meant every word." (No offence to Justin Bieber Fans.)
He laughs at me and swings his arm around my shoulder, something that he has done since we were little.

We start to walk to our last and only class together when I see Zack glaring at Gabe.

I furrow my eyebrows together and whisper to Gabe. "Why is Zack glaring at you?"

He looks over at Zack and sends him a questioning look. I promise you, that I saw Zacks cheek turn a little pink when Gabe looks over at him. Zack shrugs at Gabe and looks away.

Gabe looks back at me. "I have no idea. Maybe he's still mad at me for beating him up?" He shrugs. "I don't know."

I look back over at Zack, and he was glaring at Gabe's arm around my shoulder. I shrug and let it go.

"Okay, back to what we were talking about." Gabe says.

My eyes widen "No, please! Can't we just talk about something else?"

He smirks and shakes his head. "Oh, no. I'm not letting this one go."

I sigh, shakes my head at him and mumbles. "Maybe I shouldn't tell you stuff anymore."

He looks at me. "What did you say?"

I smile innocently. "Nothing"

He grunts. "That's what I thought."

I roll my eyes. "So, how's your girlfriend?"

He squeezes my shoulders "Oh, she's awesome! She says hi, by the way."

He met Monica, his girlfriend, in seventh grade. She moved to Florida two years ago and they have a long distance relationship, that is working out great! She used to be my best girl friend, until she moved away.

I raise my eyebrows. "And when were you going to tell me that?"

He looks away guiltily.

I shake my head. "I think I just got my answer." I look at him. "How long ago did she tell you, to tell me that?"

He grins sheepishly. "About two weeks ago"

I give him a blank stare. "Really?"

He scratches the back of his neck. "It might be three weeks" I just stare at him. "Fine. it was last month. It's not my fault, I've been busy."

I sigh and shake my head. "Why-never mind. Just tell her I said hi."

He laughs and opens his mouth to say something, but is inturupted by the bell. We walk into the class together and sit in the middle row next to each other.

"Good afternoon class!" Mrs. Blackberry, Our Economics teacher says excitedly.

No one answers her.

She cups her ear. "Excuse me. I didn't hear you."

"Good afternoon." A few students mumbles.

She sighs. "I guess, that's good for now. So, class..." I start spacing out at this point. I am really good at this subject, but I hate it.

I wonder why Zack has taken a sudden liking to me. He never has acted like this before. It's just plain weird. And why is he not getting the clue that I don't like him? I mean, how many times do I--I'm suddenly brought back to earth, when I feel something hit the back of my head. I turn around and see Zack leaning back in his chair with his arms behind his head, smirking at me.

When did he start sitting there?

He points to the ground, where the ball of paper is. I shake my head and turn back around. I feel another ball of paper hit the back of my head, and I ignore it.

When the next paper comes, I give up. That boy is just plain stubborn. I reach down and open the paper.

'Will you go out with me?' It reads.

I turn the paper over and write. 'No' and throw it behind me.

I turn my attention back to the teacher, when I feel another ball hit the back of my head. I sigh and look at Gabe, hoping that he would have seen this, and would save me, but no luck.

I pick it up off the floor, and open it. 'Well, why not.' I internally groan.

'I told you why, and you won't listen. Now leave me alone!' I write.

He throws another ball at my head, and it missed me by an inch. I smirk secretly to myself. I open the ball, and it reads. 'Are you dating Gabe?' Now, I start laughing at this. And everyone turns and looks at me, including the teacher.

"Something wrong, Sophie?"

I shake my head. "No, Mrs, Blackberry." She nods her head and goes back to teaching her lesson.

I look over at Gabe, and he still wasn't looking at me. He must be spacing out or something. I made sure the teacher wasn't looking before I wrote on the paper. 'No way! We're just friends! Why do you need to know?'

He throws another ball, and I open it. 'Well, why did he have his arm around you?' It read.

I wrote. 'Why should I tell you? You're not my friend and I don't like you. Now leave me ALONE!' Can't he get it through his thick head that I don't like him? I throw the ball behind me, and hear him opening it.

He thows another ball, and this one hits my desk. I carefully open it, being quiet so that Mrs Blackberry won't hear. 'Never. I will never leave you alone. Now go out with me.'

I sigh and write one word before the bell rang.

'Never.'
