~Chapter Sixteen.~

"What's up with Zack today?" Gabe asks me at my locker.

I turn my head and look behind me, to see Zack standing there, leaning against his locker, and looking up at the ceiling, while Brittney, was getting frustrated because he wasn't paying attention to her.

Then, as if Zack knew that I was looking at him, he looked away from the ceiling and at me, then smirked his famous smirk.

I frowned at him and quickly turned my attention back to my locker.

"What was that all about?" I looked over at Gabe, and saw he had his know-it-all smile on.

I shrugged. "I don't know."

He didn't look like he believed me. "Sure...You're telling me all about it later."

I laughed. I wasn't going to tell him about my mini break down that I had. I take my English book out of my locker. "No. Nothing happened Gabriel." I smirked, knowing what was about to happen.

Gabe groaned. "How many times, do I have to tell you not to call me Gabriel, Huh? I hate that name!"

I stuck my tongue out at him. "Too bad, too sad."

He rolls his eyes. "Payback is coming, Soppie." He smiles and points his finger at me. "You just wait."

"Ha,ha. " I started walking backwards away from him. "I'll be wai-" I never got to finish my sentence, because I tripped over someone behind me and fell backwards.

I closed my eyes shut, expecting to hit concrete, but ended up falling on something soft.

"What the-" I heard a muffled male voice say from underneath me.

I opened my eyes and rolled off whoever I fell on. I looked over and saw that I fell on a tall, black haired, blue eyed guy, whom I have never seen before.

"I am so sorry!" I said and sat up.

The guy laughed and sat up."Eh, it's nothing."He rubbed the back of his head. "Just a bruise. I'm sorry for being in your way."

I smiled shyly and pushed my glasses up. "Don't be sorry." I said quietly. "You wasn't in my way."

The guy smiles a perfect white smile, and I couldn't help but get butterflies in my stomach. "My name is Elijah, but you can call me Eli. I'm new here."

I nod my head and say quietly. "Nice to meet you."

I hear him chuckle. "What's your name, Beautiful?"

I can feel my face heat up. "S-Sophie." Why do I have to stutter?

Eli's smile grows. "That's the prettiest name, I've ever heard." He says.

I blush more and hear someone clear their throat. I look behind me and see Zack, standing behind me.

"Excuse me, dude, but you can't talk to this, "He gestures to me and I narrow my eyes at him. "um, lady."

Eli raises his eyebrows. "And why can't I?"

Zack thinks for a minute. "Because, she is...my...girlfriend."

"What?!" I yell and stand up, at the same time I hear Gabe yell "When?!" from behind Zack.

Zack smirks. "Yeah, we've been dating for...two years and..six months"

My mouth flies open. "No, we haven't!"

Zack looks at me and acts like he's zipping his mouth shut.

"Hey look," Eli says. "I was just asking her her name, umm."

"It's Zack. And you was flirting, and calling my girlfriend, Beautiful. That didn't seem like just 'Asking her name'."  Zack said.

"No, I am not his girlfriend!" I yell. Then I hear Gabe say. "Not yet." And I glare at him. "No, I'll never be his girlfriend!"

Zack looks at Gabe and smiles at him. "I think Gabe is right."

"No! He's not right!" I yell, getting really aggravated.

Zack takes a step closer to me. "He is."

Eli stands up and stands in between Zack and I. "Look, I'm sorry I talked to her. I didn't know she had a boyfriend. I won't ever talk to either one of you ever again."

Zack smirks and starts to say something, but I cut him off. "I. Am. Not. His. Girlfriend!" I push around Eli and stand in front of Zack. "I am tired of you and your idea of playing with me. If I remember right, You wasn't supposed to talk to me ever again." I point to Eli. "Tell him, that I am not your girlfriend."

Zack shakes head. "Can't do that, Princess."

I stomp my foot. "Why not? Did you forget, you already have a girlfriend?"

"Nah, I broke up with her this morning." He winks at me. "So, I'm all yours, Princess."

I sigh and shake my head. "I give up."

Zack smiles. "Good, because I've been wanting to do this for a while." Zack grabs my face with his hands and leans down. My eyes widen and I try to break out of his grip, but it doesn't work. And a few seconds later, I feel his lips against mine....
