A chat

Shadou left early this morning, he hugged me goodbye and promised to call me and maybe visit again. I don't know if I believe him, I doubt he is going to do any of that. I don't know what happened maybe he saw something I didn't or maybe he fought with Amaimon on the short occasions I wasn't with them, but the last couple of days he was here he was distant and didn't really have fun doing things. He never looked at Amaimon and barely looked me in the eye, I just hope he gets over whatever got into him. Right now though I have no time to worry about it.
Amaimon and I are on our way over to Mephisto's, he finally figured out a date for our visit. I'm pretty sure he's going to explain everything that will be taking place, then again it's Mephisto so who knows maybe he just wants us to see some new thing he bought.
We don't bother knocking, what's the point when he just can poof up anywhere and probably saw us coming anyway. He is waiting for us at the bottom of the staircase when we enter, "ah how is my darling little couple?"
"Wonderful!" I smile and go give him a quick hug as I usually do.
He grins, "my younger brother is treating you well I hope?"
"Most definitely!" I giggle. "He is pretty adorable I must admit."
Amaimon looks away when he hears me, I can't help but wonder if he is blushing, I would pay to see that!
Mephisto chuckles, "any who we must discuss our trip, shall we go to the dining room?"
"Sure," we follow him through the confusing halls until we reach the huge room.
It's filled up mainly with the dining table which is covered in fancy kitchen wear that never gets used. There's a few odds and ends around that give it the Mephisto touch. He pulls out a chair for me by him.
"Thank you," I smile and sit.
Amaimon sits quietly on my other side.
"Now we will be going to Gehenna this Friday, but my father insists we stay at least until Sunday." Mephisto gets all serious.
"Okay sounds neat."
"As far as he knows you two are a happily married pair, is that a problem?"
"Oh goodness no," I giggle.
Amaimon smiles a little bit, "I think we can pull that off."
"Wonderful!" Mephi grins, "do you have any questions?"
"Hm only one I guess, who is all going to be there?" I ask truly curious.
"As far as I've been told it's going to be everyone except Lucifer."
"Cool!" I grin excited to meet Amaimon's brothers.
"You're very easy to get along with my dear," Mephisto smiles looking at me.
"Maybe sometimes not always." I know I can be a real pain sometimes, I think Amaimon learned that by now maybe Mephi hasn't yet.
"Are you two going to stay for dinner?" Mephisto questions.
"It's up to Amaimon," I shrug.
"What do you say little brother?"
"Hmm...I don't want to," Amaimon pulls out a lollipop.
"Very well next time then," Mephisto sighs.
"Hey you have to come over and watch anime with us sometime got that?" I nudge Mephi's arm.
"Indeed I will," he nods.
"We'll see ya Friday I guess," I wave as Amaimon drags me from of the room.  I can hear Mephisto laughing behind us as we exit.
"Why such a short visit?" I glance at Amaimon.
"I don't like being laughed at," he mumbles.
"Oh..." I frown confused. He doesn't give me any more information so I'm left guessing, I'll figure it out eventually.
We slow our pace and end up walking along front street, it has all the shops and things, Amaimon looks over at me. I can't read his expression, I feel like he wants to ask me something but he doesn't he just shakes his head and looks around the busy streets.
"Are you excited to see your family?" I hope by distracting him, he might ask me whatever it was he wants to but won't.
"Not really," he says rather flatly.
"Why not?"
"We don't really keep in touch most of the time."
"I see...." I don't have siblings, so I can't say if not speaking to them would be odd. Quite frankly I haven't talked to my family at all since getting here, I'm mad at them though so that's different.
"Are you glad you'll see Iblis?" I pick up a tiny amount of annoyance in his voice.
"Honestly I don't even know if he'll recognize me or want anything to do with me, I was so young then." I sigh, "it'd be kinda cool if he does recognize me though."
"He will," Amaimon sounds confident in that, so I believe him even if he sounds grumpy.
"So Amaimon where exactly are you walking to?" I giggle.
"Huh?" He stops.
"I didn't want to say anything cause I thought you noticed, but we passed up our dorm a while ago," I laugh.
Amaimon looks around silently, I shove him playfully. "Come on let's play a game," I didn't want to go home yet it's so nice out and I know Amaimon won't turn down a chance to play.
"What game?"
"Hmmm how about hide and seek?"
"Okay," he nods. "You hide first."
"Perfect! We can only hide outside though no going in buildings and we have to stay in this area sound fair?"
He nods.
"Count to 40 and no cheating!" I shout back as I start looking for a good spot. I find a nice thick bush to hide in, I feel sticks jab at my side as I crawl in.
"Ready or not here I come!" I here Amaimon, and pull my legs to my chest to make myself smaller. I know I've been here a good few minutes, my legs and back are starting to get cramped, but I can hear someone approaching me so I have to do my best to stay still a little longer.
"Found you!" I feel a light poke to my neck. I stand up, my muscles feel grateful finally getting to move from my cramped position.
"Darn I thought you'd never find me!" I laugh.
"I'll always be able to find you," he grins.
"Oh sure you will. Now it's your turn I bet you won't be able to hide from me!"
"Yes I will, start counting." Amaimon snickers before starting to walk off. I cover my eyes and begin my counting. When I reach forty I shout to let Amaimon know I'm coming, now to begin my search. I think I know him well enough to assume he's going to be in a tree or close to some, so I start looking for tall trees. It takes me awhile to find a suitable one but I know he's probably up in the trees high leaf covered branches. I have no choice but to climb up and see, I carefully grab the first few branches and pull myself up. From there I find it pretty easy, I almost slip once but I catch myself. My efforts pay off once I see a shiny gold skull, I reach up and tug lightly on Amaimon's boot.
"Got ya!" I grin.
He slides down until he's beside me on the branch, "maybe I wasn't trying to hide."
"Oh really? Then why make me climb the whole way up here." I smirk.
He sighs, "I didn't think you would."
"I told you I could find you!" I grin satisfied I know him as well as I thought. "Sooooo can we get down now?"
"Are you afraid?" He asks teasingly.
"No I always climb trees," I smirk and start making my way down.
"My ways faster," he snickers watching me.
"What way?" I glance up at him. He climbs the few branches down I am and pulls me over to him.
"Do you trust me?"
"Of course I do, why would even ask?"
He grins and leaps from the tree, he holds me tightly and I can't help but scream a little more out of surprise than fear. Once we land I'm laughing and clinging to his jacket, "that was awesome!"
"Did you find that fun?" He smiles letting me out of his grip.
"Yes!" I grin still laughing a little.
"Now what?" He tilts his head.
"Let's head home it's getting late," I sigh looking at the evening sky.
"Alright, I'm hungry anyway."
I start walking, he keeps pace with me so I decide to hold his hand. We walk like that in comfortable silence until we get to the dorm, and I don't want to brag but I'm pretty sure I saw his cheeks turn a little red.
